Pescara. Tenuta Secolo IX took home the emerging winery award at the 2017 Pescara Wine Festival.
The event was organized by the Pescara branch of AIS – the Italian Sommelier Association, and is one of the most prestigious showcases for Abruzzo’s top wines and wineries.
The award ceremony took place on Saturday 25 November in Pescara City Council Chamber, with Mayor Marco Alessandrini, wine producers, winemakers and sommeliers from all over the region, the Chairman of the City Council Francesco Pagnanelli, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Daniele Becci, and the regional councillor for agriculture Dino Pepe, all in attendance.
The award was collected by the owner of Tenuta Secolo IX, Fioravante Allegrino.
Sommelier Luca Panunzio hosted the Festival for wine lovers and industry professional competing for awards. Tenuta Secolo IX took the limelight, enchanting the audience of experts with its unique qualities.
At the end of the event, Tenuta Secolo IX wines were served at the Bollicine wine bar and restaurant, in Pescara’s Via Trento.
